I had been putting off putting together "Will you be bridesmaid?" boxes for awhile now. Going back and forth in my head on which items to give. These gals have a special place in my heart and I wanted to show how much they mean to me! I knew I loved the idea of a box and come across so many wonderful ideas online. But wanted to put my own spin on the box. Lately I've been torn with my love for organic/natural elements and minimalist/clean lines. So I thought, why not MARRY the two?!
I started with a plain wooden box from Save on Crafts and stained it with Kona wood stain. As much as I love calligraphy, I didn't trust myself messing up the box with my handwriting. This is where the minimalist/clean lines comes in. Typed up each gals name and had it printed on textured paper. Torn the edges of the paper to make tags to give it a softer look.
Inside of the box I included a card asking each gal, "Will you be my bridesmaid?" and an inspiration card of a few images to give a feel of the vibe for the wedding. Searched for awhile for the type of items I wanted to add into box. A good majority of items I have seen online were mini champagne bottles or nail polish. Don't get me wrong, those are great but I really wanted to go more meaningful and practical/have items that can last longer.
