Got plenty of leftover tissue paper from the holiday season?! Make this easy DIY tissue tassel garland to brighten up any room.
- Tissue Paper (10-12 sheets of 3 to 4 colors/patterns)
- Cardstock Paper (couple of different colors)
- Gold paper or Lettered Stickers
- Twine, Ruler
- X-Acto Knife
- Hole Punch
- Glue Stick
- Banner Template
TISSUE TASSEL GARLAND
Step 1: Layer 4 to 5 sheets of tissue and fold width wise. Using a ruler and pencil to mark off 1 inch strips then cut with X-Acto Knife or Scissors.
Step 2: Cut about 3 stacks of tissue (About 15 strips total) and line them on top of each other.
Step 3: Fold the stack in half to mark off the center. Twist the center about 5-7 turns, fold in half.
Step 4: Secure with twine to keep tissue in place. Repeat process for as many tassels as you would like.
Step 1: Using the free template, trace onto the cardboard paper. Repeat 5 more times.
Step 2: With a pencil, freehand "CHEERS" on gold paper. Or if you would like, you can use glitter stickers.
Step 3: Glue the letters to the cardstock banners that you made in Step 1.
Step 4: With a hole punch, punch the top corners where the twine will go.
String together with twine and tape to wall, door, or whatever you would like. Cheers friends!
